You know summer is around the corner because lately the gym has been a disaster !! I find myself waiting for everything. The gym isn’t big to begin with and the free weights area is like sardine city. So annoying. I usually work out between 5-7pm but on Tuesday I got so fed up I decided I need to go later. Yesterday I got there for 7pm. It was a gorgeous day so I actually walked to the gym, did my work out and walked back home. The experience was much better. It was less packed. I am not sold on it yet because it was a gorgeous day and before the long weekend. Outside of the walking portion, my routine was not any different then any other time. This morning I awoke with a massive migraine. I don’t get it. I actually got up to take aleve @230am and had to take two more just now. It’s Good Friday but not for me right now. Hoping this migraine is short lived as I don’t want to lose the entire day to this shit!
I recently read that if u want a full body workout you need to incorporate the rowing machine in your routine. I tried it this morning. After two minutes I was breathing heavily…after 5 minutes I was blurry visioned.. after 8 minutes my life flashed before my eyes.. after 10 minutes I stopped. I will consider it a success! 🙂
Hitting the gym today after 3 days off… last Monday I went to see a physio for a shoulder pblm I have been having for years. To be exact, since 2012. That’s the last time I went to see a physio for it. As it turns out I have a really bad perception of time. At my visit when asked when I last had it checked I replied ‘a couple years ago’. Anyway he worked on my shoulder for an hour then offered up 3 exercises I have to do. One as part of my warm up, one between every upper body set and one at home. Nothing complicated. He also told me to avoid a few types of shoulder exercises until things gets better. Anyway on Tuesday I worked out and noticed I was feeling more pain then I had ever felt.. took my usual Wednesday off, tried again Thursday and realized it was probably best to give myself a few days off… so took friday, saturday and sunday off. We shall see how it goes today.
It’s been a while since I posted but I have been consistently training. On weekdays. What I haven’t done consistently at all is weekend training. It was sporadic and this weekend I decided enough is enough and I trained as well. I mean summer is around the corner.. am I right?
Sure, there is still some of the white stuff out there but u can see the green fighting to come out!!! 🙂
I had a fantastic workout both days. I am an early riser so I have a really good breakfast.. kill an hour or so and then hit the gym for a good 1.5hr workout.
I have changed it up a little.. I used to focus solely on cardio Mondays and Fridays.. I no longer do that. It’s all weight training all the time and I break the week by taking Wednesday off.
I also decided to try the following two products..the powdered peanut butter in a shake… amazing.. the carne diem… we’ll see in a months time!
